CREATE YOUR RECOVERY

Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education has partnered with Bath Recovery Community Center and the Maine Humanities Council to offer Create Your Recovery, an arts and humanities program for those in recovery and affected others: friends, family, loved ones.
A variety of arts classes, detailed below, will be offered at the Bath Recovery Community Center (15 Vine St, Bath) for this audience. Interested participants are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible as space is limited. This project will culminate in a community art show in the Fall at Bath Recovery Community Center, to include artist works, discussion panel with experts/Q&A.
Programs
Unspoken Art: Dreams & Balance, with instructor Maggie Morgan. (Maggie will instruct participants on using a variety of mediums to work through their healing.)
Thursdays, 6:30-8PM, On-going registration. Ends 9/14.
Comedy Improv with instructor Johnny Ater & Friends. (There is healing through laughter.)
Wednesdays, 5-6:30PM, Class runs 4 weeks. Starts 9/6.
Dancing with instructor Tony Garreton. (Tony teaches dancing to help each person live their best life.)
Fridays, 4-5PM. Class runs 3 weeks: 9/1, 9/8, & 9/15.
Writing’s Healing Gift: The Power to Self-Heal by Accessing Our Deeper Voice with instructor Ann Bennett-Cookson (who lost her daughter to addiction).
Mondays, 5-6:30PM. Class runs 4 weeks: 9/11, 9/25, 10/2 & 10/16.
