This is an ongoing instructional and playing session for students that have participated in the Intro to Ukulele session offered by Nina Andersen. Each session will build on the skills learned in the Intro class and we'll build a solid repertoire of songs to play together.
No Meeting on Tuesday, April 14th. The February 24th and April 7th meetings will be at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick.

March 8th is International Women’s Day. In celebration of International Women’s Day, author of “17 Women Who Shook the World” Preethi Fernando rocks it, with some of the most amazing women of our time and their criteria for success. The life stories of Eleanor Roosevelt, Mother Teresa, and Wilm Rudolph are filled with obstacles. Yet, they turned them around to become successful life stories. Always wanted to try out oil painting? Well, this is your chance! Come join artist/instructor Kat Logan in this full day intensive to oil painting. And all of your materials will be laid out ready for you to use. You will just need an apron and a packed lunch. We will go through the materials, how to use them all and work first on a monochromatic still life and then get introduced to color work in the afternoon. No experience is necessary! A $35 materials fee, payable to the instructor, must be paid at the beginning of class.

This all-levels class integrates pen and ink techniques with watercolor. Students will learn principles of illustration different kinds of botanicals, and create a composition combining a rainbow array of the subjects of their choosing. At the end of the day, students will have gained techniques for painting and drawing in their own unique style. Students can either buy themselves the required materials - the materials list is linked here - or they can buy material kits from the Mix, an art store in Brunswick (here is a link to a student-grade kit, and here is a link to an artist-grade kit). *THIS IS A ONE DAY WORKSHOP.

Parents: It is vital that your student arrive on time for class. Due to late arrivals, students are falling short of their 30 hours of class time and must make up the time. Because the State of Maine requires 30 hours of class time, if your student arrives late, they will be turned away, and a charge will apply (below) for the class to be made up. It is very important that your student arrives on time. Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions. Thank you for your understanding.
PLEASE NOTE: Parents are required to attend the last 45 minutes of the first class AND participate in a ride-along with your child for one hour of their 10 hour driving lessons requirement.

Are you between ages 15 and 19 and want your State of Maine permit to prepare for your driving exam? We offer driver education courses to help build strong, safe, and confident drivers. Students are awarded an instructional permit upon successful completion of the course with a grade of 80 percent or better. Only employee discounts are allowed, but you must call to register. If the student has a medical condition, please contact the office or click on the link below as an additional medical form is required. Total hours of instruction is 40; 30 classroom and 10 driving. Full payment of $575 is required at the time of registration. If a student withdraws from the course, $75 is withheld from the refund to cover program costs. Only employee discounts for this class. Please bring your birth certificate or passport to the first class and a pen to every class as well as glasses for your eye exam, if you wear them.
