In just a few hours, you can learn enough secrets of the trade to give you years of musical enjoyment. Learn to play piano the way professionals do-using chords. The chord method is LOTS of fun and dramatically easier to learn than reading notes. Fee includes the online book, online follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also an optional periodic question and answer session. Class is held online using zoom and is partly hands-on instruction and partly lecture demonstration. *This course includes ONE live online session, and students follow up on their own with provided video lessons. Craig Coffman is an experienced piano and guitar instructor, professional pianist and music director. He has over 30 years’ experience teaching piano privately. His piano and guitar seminars, offered through Community Colleges and Community Education Programs, have been attended by over 30,000 students throughout Arizona, Minnesota and the United States over the last 27 years. He has a degree in Sociology from Illinois Wesleyan University in Illinois (where he also studied piano) and a Master of Divinity degree from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.

This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Fee includes the online book, online follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also an optional periodic question and answer session. Class is held online using zoom and is partly hands on instruction and partly lecture/demonstration. For ages 13+. *This course includes ONE live online session, and students follow up on their own with provided video lessons. Country Western dancing is contagious: once you start, you might never want to stop. Dance develops balance and coordination, physical, mental, emotional, and social abilities. Come to exercise & meet new friends. In this class, we will go over: country western style Progressive 2-Step, Waltz, and East Coast Swing. This class is open to all skill levels. This class is scheduled to run on the following dates: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14.

Do you go to weddings, family and school reunions or planning a cruise and would like to participate when dancing is offered? Maybe you participated in the past and feel a bit rusty with certain dance moves? How about learning basic foxtrot, waltz, and swing (jitterbug) moves and enjoy getting your groove back. Also dance has additional benefits related to active aging such as improving posture, balance, and cognition. Come with a dance partner or solo. Contemporary Line Dancing for Beginners

Next session: September 14th to November 9th, 2026

Learn all the basics of contemporary line dancing: basic steps and sequences (grapevines, shuffles, pivots, etc.), dances in 4/4 and 3/4 time, and basic rhythms with syncopations. All styles of music are used, including country-western, salsa, tango, hiphop, waltz. By the end of the class, you will have learned up to 10 line dances of various styles. A special Halloween-themed evening is included. Weekly emails will review each previous class and preview the next one, and provide links to demo videos. Handouts include descriptive lists of basic steps, rhythms, etc. Line dancing is great fun, as well as great body and mind exercise. No experience necessary, but practice at home between classes is recommended. *No Class: 10/12.
